Colombia: Venezuela no longer hosting rebel camps (AP)

MADRID ? Colombia's president says Venezuela is no longer a haven for Colombian leftist rebel camps, and relations between the two countries are improving.

Such camps were a major irritant in relations between the two South American countries, and even lead to them severing relations at one point last year.

Juan Manuel Santos ? speaking Tuesday with Spanish National Television during an official visit to Spain ? also praised Venezuela for deporting two suspected Colombian rebels Monday, calling this an unprecedented gesture by President Hugo Chavez.

He said relations with Chavez' government are improving on all fronts.
